Chocolate is more important than sex. That was one of the surprising findings from a recent online survey of over 500 Baby Boomers and Seniors conducted by 50Plus Research.

Chocolate Harder to Give Up than Sex

In this recent online survey, 50Plus Research asked over 500 Boomers and Seniors what would be the hardest things to give up. They responded in the following order:

  • Hardest to give up: Reading
  • 2nd hardest to give up: Chocolate
  • 3rd hardest to give up: SEX

It’s Not a Matter of Age

Whether you’re a youthful Baby Boomer or an older Senior, both age groups agreed that chocolate would be harder to give up than sex.

  • 19% of Boomers said chocolate would be the hardest to give up vs. only 16% who said sex.
  • 20% of Seniors said chocolate would be the hardest to give up – vs. only 10% who said sex.

Husbands Beware

Men, if you really want to make your wife happy; think hot chocolate, not hot romance. While men vote for sex, women are on the lookout for more chocolate.

  • 25% of the women said chocolate would be the hardest thing to give up.
  • Only 3% of the women said sex would be the hardest thing to give up.
